Theory session and practical training from the VOA for just £75 for 3 hours of CPD.
OA is a lifelong, progressive disease and can often be a frustrating condition to manage in practice. In this theory and practical session we will cover the pathophysiology of OA and the correct use of intra-articular injections by learning what can be targeted at each stage of the disease and why. The understanding of the joint condition at each stage is paramount in choosing the correct treatment and preparation to ensure the best outcome. Clinicians will come away understanding when to use each treatment, why they are using the treatment they have chosen and the practical ability to successfully inject it into the affected joint. Clinicians will also be shown how a rigid endoscope can help in the diagnosis of stifle disease and its potential treatment with an intra-articular injection.
